Warning: Funny Faces

I thought this was funny. The warning label on the car seat is right next to Sophia's head. I don't know what those faces mean either. It looks like she's tooting or something. She really isn't that goofy looking in person (not that it would matter if she was!). She's definitely got the Miss Piggy look going for her in these photos. Speaking of Miss Piggy(i.e. Kermit the Frog's on again off again girlfriend), I was called Miss Piggy relentless as a child because I was always so chubby and the pug nose didn't help. But hey, that's life, right?

The Sun Refused to Shine

It was a terrible day for us to take Mimi(grandma) and Aunt Gail in from LA to the beach, but so be it, we still went. Grandma and Sophia stayed in the car because it was so windy the sand was kicking up. It looked like it was going to pour rain any minute and did I mention the tornado warnings and lighting and hail? Nevertheless, the kids had a blast. We found this neat kid's playground that was right on the beach behind this cool beach barbecue restaurant. Brian's family made a quick visit to come and see the baby for three days then they had to hurry back to work. It was a very pleasant time for all, especially the kids.

Sisters!

Yup, I don't know how any girl can grow up normal without having any sisters. I don't know where I'd be without my one lone sister. Having a sister is like the whipped cream on top of your Starbuck's mocha frappucino, ketchup on your french fries or milk in your cereal. It just makes life a little bit sweeter. Hey, but it wasn't always this good. I remember all the girl fights we had growing up and it got pretty ugly at times! She always hogged the shower, the curling iron and stole my clothes or shoes when I wanted to wear them. Okay, maybe I did a few things wrong, too. :) Speaking of my sister, she is coming to visit me in just two weeks! Yeah, Bob! Can't wait! We are going to an Above Rubies Retreat together. So it'll just be the three(Sophia included) of us in AL enjoying all the encouragement God has for us. Anyway, my heart goes out to all of you who didn't get the chance to have your very own sister.

Interesting Lyrics

JACK JOHNSON LYRICS for
"Good People"
You win
It's your show, now
So what's it gonna be
'Cause people
Will tune in
How many train wrecks do we need to see?
Before we lose touch of
We thought this was low
It's bad getting worse so
[Chorus:]Where'd all the good people go?
I've been changing channels
I don't see them on the TV shows
Where'd all the good people go?
We got heaps and heaps of what we sow
They got this and that and
With a rattle a tat
Testing one two,
Now what you gonna do?
Bad news, misused,
Got too much to lose
Gimme some truth
Now whose side are we on?
Whatever you say
Turn on the boob tube
I'm in the mood to obey
So lead me astray by the way, now
Where'd all the good people go?
I've been changing channels
I don't see them on the TV shows
Where'd all the good people go?
We got heaps and heaps of what we sow
Sitting round feeling far away
So far away but I can feel the debris
Can you feel it?
You interrupt me from a friendly conversation
To tell me how great its all gonna be
You might notice some hesitation
'Cause it's important to you, it's not important to me
Way down by the edge of your reasons
It's beginning to show
And all I really wanna know is...
Where'd all the good people go?
I've been changing channelsI don't see them on the TV shows
Where'd all the good people go?
We got heaps and heaps of what we sow
They got this and that
With a rattle a tatTesting one, two
Now what you gonna do?
Bad news, misused, give me some truth
You got too much to lose
Whose side are we on today, anyway?
OK, whatever you say.
Wrong and resolute but in the mood to obey
Station to station desensitizing the nation
Going, going, gone.
Thought these were some interesting lyrics...

Crabby Pants!

Miss Sarah has taken to crying right after she takes her nap. Go figure! She doesn't cry when I lay her down or cry while she naps for two hours, but when I go in to get her...crabby! Anyway, she's still cute, even when she's crying. :)
